The History of Schwab Corp. - K.L. Security Enterprises, LLC is an authorized Dealership for the complete line of Schwab Corporation fire files, safes and vault doors.

Founded in 1872 in Lafayette, Indiana, Schwab Safe Company is one of Lafayette's oldest continuously operational industries. The Schwab Safe Company early credits include horse drawn carriages, a wide range of castings including stoplight bases and sewer grates and covers. Many of those covers and grates are still in use in Lafayette and other communities around the country.

In February 1964 Schwab Safe Company acquired the assets of the Midwest Safe Company's Cannelton, Indiana plant, which we operate under the Schwab name as well as the facility in Lafayette, Indiana.

On January 1, 2003, Schwab Corp. was acquired by two private investors. As a result of the acquisition, the Company has been recapitalized to allow for a period of growth. The new management team has a proven record in manufacturing and product design. With new people in the areas of sales, engineering and manufacturing, we anticipate that we will soon be at the forefront of our industry. We will focus our efforts on new product development, increasing the performance of on-time delivery, and making changes in the manufacturing process to incorporate more contemporary machines and procedures. We are very excited about the future of the Company and look forward to combining new ideas with a very experienced and devoted workforce. Today, Schwab manufactures fireproof file cabinets, media and record cabinets, safes and vault doors for the architectural, industrial and residential markets worldwide. Schwab continues to deliver high quality products that have made the Schwab name synonymous with the highest craftsmanship and dependability for more than 131 years.
