In turn, locked Regent boxes <em>must<\/em> be stored in a NYSED-approved safe or walk-in vault that meets <u>all<\/u> of the listed specifications below.<\/p>\n<p>Newly constructed vaults, modified existing vaults, or recently purchased safes <em>must<\/em> be inspected by a NYSED representative and approved by the department <em>before<\/em> secure materials can be stored.<\/p>\n<p><u>Safes must meet or exceed Underwriters Laboratories (UL) TRTL-30 Safe performance standards for burglary resistance <em>and<\/em> must have:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Steel door at least 1 \u00bd\u201d thick<\/li>\n<li>Steel walls at least 1\u201d thick<\/li>\n<li>750 lbs. minimum weight<\/li>\n<li>Built-in combination lock<\/li>\n<li>Sufficient capacity to store the locked Regents boxes or the school\u2019s largest examination request (minimum acceptable unobstructed inside dimensions of 11\u201dH x 20\u201dW x 27D\u201d to store one Regents box)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Walk-In Vaults must meet <em>all<\/em> of the following criteria:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Poured concrete floor<\/li>\n<li>No windows or access panels<\/li>\n<li>Walls of reinforced cement block or concrete sealed to a poured concrete floor below with structural floor or roof deck above<\/li>\n<li>Metal door in a metal frame with interior or welded-pin hinges<\/li>\n<li>Built-in dead-latch (deadbolt) with combination or key lock that allows exiting at all times<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>T K.L.
