On March 12, the Governor of Illinois, JB Pritzker, issued an Executive Order to extend the submittal deadline. Furthermore, the Illinois Department of Agriculture is no longer accepting applications in person. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All applications must be sent via certified mail. The application must be postmarked on or before March 30, 2020. While this does seem like a major \u2018chink\u2019 in the marijuana market chain, Illinois is prioritizing social issues. The state (alongside the rest of the globe) is mitigating the Coronavirus pandemic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants are disappointed, but perhaps this\nextension could be seen as a positive. This allows more time for review and\nediting of the application. Are there areas that could be stronger?
