Fire King 2-hour Fire with Impact Rated Data Safes

A wide range of interiors for storing magnetic media, hard drives and portable data storage devices make these safes a versatilve and economical choice. Removable computer media and data is easily damaged from improper storage and other natural disasters. Manufacturers recommend storing DLT, LTO, Tapes, Cartridges, optical disks, and external hard drives at temperatures below 125°F and at a humidity level under 80%. Complete data recovery from a hard disk drive is possible after a fire. Even a hot mug of coffee represents a real hazard, so imagine what a fire would do. In a FireKing Data Safe , computer media is protected from fire, dust, magnetic fields, unauthorized access, accidental damage and electrostatic discharge. The 1-hour Data Safe comes in two convenient sizes, DS1513 and DS1817 , and both carry a UL Class 125 2-hour fire and impact rating.

FireKing Data Safes or cabinets are essential for CD's, Media, DVD's, Microfilm, Microfiche, DLT tape, LTO, Optical Disks and Hard drive backup in any office. 2-Hour UL Fireproof Test
The safe must maintain an interior temperature less than 125°F and an interior relative humidity less than 80% for class 125, when exposed to fire as per the Standard Time Temperature Curve for (two) 2 hours to 1850°F. It must undergo all other requirements for the Fire Endurance Test, the Explosion Hazard Test, the Humidity Test, and the Fire and Impact Test. Basically, no explosion through 30 minutes to exposure to a 2000°F fire and immediate 30 foot drop test and a standard reheating for 45 minutes to 1638°F.
