Fire Safe - Water Safe - Impact Safe - Theft Protection - Data Backup

DataCast fireproof insulation combined with a steel outer drive casing has been specially designed to provide protection for hard drive survivability in case of fire. The DataCast formulation forms a chemical bond with water molecules which are released as water vapor at temperatures above 160°F. The release of water vapor limits the internal temperature of the ioSafe Disaster Ready Drive and enables the unit to survive the fire.
